Jo Jo, a young activist with a long history working with the student movement to restore democracy in Burma, will explore how the military government of Burma uses the educational system to suppress youth movements and democratic values. The military government in Burma, (now officially called 'Myanmar' after a controversial name change) has received much international attention in recent years for its human rights abuses and lack of political transparency.
