Education is widely accepted as a major instrument for effecting socio-economic development and without it no country can achieve meaningful development. It is disheartening that corruption and corrupt practices have eaten deep into all the fabrics of the Nigerian society and these have led to anti-social behaviour on the part of students, parents, teachers and policy makers. This presentation looks at the role of education in curbing corruption and corrupt practices and how education can be used as a tool of good governance in West Africa.
